Knicks Need Win To Stay in NBL Race

The New York Knickerbockers, last in the standings but first in attendance, face the Philadelphia Warriors in Camden tonight needing a victory to stay alive in the Eastern Division race of the NBA. Poulos Cut Over Eye Halts AAU Bout In Portland

Ukiah's Bill Poulos entered slowly against Harold Derouen and near the end of the second round suffered a small cut above his eye. Referee halted the AAU amateur bout for an automatic TKO, after Poulos showed a sluggish start and failed to overcome the injury. Miteff Valdes Set for Madison Square Garden Heavyweight Showdown
