Land Bank Eases Limits Under Ukiah Assoc
Carrol L. Ornham manager of the Federal Land Bank Association of Ukiah announced that most temporary lending restrictions from 1966 have been removed. The association will resume normal lending for refinancing debts financing construction and buying farms and ranches while screening to avoid inflationary risk. Ukiah serves Mendocino and Lake counties as one of 43 associations in five western states. Despite tight money conditions 1966 loans totaled a record 5 percent million in year end servicing. Demand for agricultural credit is expected to rise in 1967.
