Plane clips power lines and makes safe landing

North Ukiah resident Herb Brockett 26, a state Forestry worker, piloted a Cessna 140 that struck two 12 000 volt lines near the freeway and Masonite overpass. Power was cut for 75 minutes, fires started by hot lines were extinguished, and Brockett landed safely at his private strip north of Highway 101.

Ukiah City Council to Consider Water Shortage Procedures
