Foggy morning two car crash injures three near Ukiah
A pea soup fog caused a two car collision at the Beacon Lane and Talmage Road intersection injuring three. Jesus Casas Jr. and Jackie Lynn Kidd collided after Casas failed to see Kidd in fog. Virginia Smith and Dhona Migliore were treated for injuries at Mendocino State Hospital. In a separate weekend crash on Low Gap Road a deer-caused single vehicle strike sent Charles Peebles III and Jeri Hamilton to Mendocino Community Hospital with minor to moderate injuries.

Four Drunk Driving Arrests Reported Over Weekend
Four persons were arrested and booked at county jail on suspicion of drunk driving and related charges. Carl Richard Carpenter, 39, of Redwood Valley, was arrested Friday near Laughlin Way with bail set at 360 dollars. Roy Bsttle Creekmore, 55, Ukiah, arrested Friday on N State Street with bail 360 dollars. Charles Stacey Brough Jr, 39, Ukiah, arrested Saturday at Babcock Lane. Leonard Hawke, 37, Willits, arrested Sunday on Highway 101 between the State and Perkins Street overpasses and booked on drunk driving and driving on the wrong side of the road.

A 22 year old mother, Mary Ann Louise O Neal, is jailed in Sonoma County awaiting extradition to Medford Oregon on charges of child stealing. The four year old girl Tamra Michelle O Neal died January 22 from pneumonia after an alleged medical mishandling at Hillside and Community hospitals. The child was buried in Caspar cemetery with the mother identified by aliases Eve Oashanabi and Akasha. The case centers on disputed medical treatment after a fall from a mule in Albion Ridge and the subsequent death, followed by an exhumation request from the father for re burial in Medford.
