The move ends blanket youth anonymity, enabling printing of names addresses and guardians with discretion, as parents were urged to attend today's hearings.

Cub Pack No 65 hosts a pie sale at the Penney store on Saturday February 11 from 9 30 to 12 o clock. Home made pies by the den mothers will be sold with Mrs Loretta Brooks as chair and assisting den mothers presiding.
San Francisco, UP. Charles Nines, a Southern Pacific transportation engineer, testified before the Public Utilities Commission that Northwestern Pacific Railroad would lose money even with reduced passenger service from San Rafael to Eureka. He cited current overnight losses of 317000 annually and estimated costs for tri weekly diesel or self propelled service, with projected revenues around 32000. The hearing discusses discont'inuing passenger service, Willits to South Fork operations, and the temporary resumption of NWP freight from San Rafael to Eureka after floods.
James F. Lyttle chairman of Sonoma County supervisors told the Water Resources Board that the Dry Creek Dam is a must and studies should proceed. He urged federal authorization with the state engineer backing federal construction and proposed starting with a low level flood control dam before raising capacity.
Frank Johnson 52 creamery owner and Ukiah newcomer filed for the April 10 municipal election joining Arthur Wedemeyer liquor dealer and George Von Kageler rancher as announced candidates. Leonard Nix and Henry Mercer will not seek re election. Johnson and family reside at 117 Barbara street.
Jimmy McKenny, 4, son of Mr and Mrs Harry McKemy, River Road, is in serious condition at Ukiah General Hospital with second and third degree burns covering more than a third of his body. He and neighbor David Petty were playing with matches in the McKemy yard when his jacket caught fire. David helped remove the burning clothing and neighbors assisted to the hospital. His condition was stated as holding his own today. The McKennys have three other children.
Superior Judge Charles Wade Snook postponed sentencing Burton W. Abbott for one week and warned against further delays. In Richmond officer Joe Olvera walked from Los Angeles to Richmond for the March of Dimes finishing a 543 mile route and surpassing his donation goal. Prime Minister Sir Anthony Eden proposed a step by step relaxation of curbs on Allied trade with Red China aiming to bring it on par with Western trade with the Soviet Union.
Charles C. Kirk retires after 36 years as Piercy postmaster passing the role to Margaret Anderson. He helped establish Piercy's post office in 1920 after petitioning Washington and delivering mail by buggy through harsh weather. Anderson, a longtime Piercy resident, begins her tenure hopeful for continued vigor.
A bi monthly 4-H leaders training session in eastern Mendocino county runs Monday from 7 to 10 p.m. in the farm advisor's Ukiah office. The program opens with an evaluation sheet for project records, followed by Helen Inns speaking on project aids for cooking and clothing readers and Kenneth Zamzow guiding agricultural leaders on their projects.

Ukiah Police Department detains four teenagers in connection with a burglary series. One suspect admits involvement in Park N Takit theft at 760 Scott State Street and links to burglaries of Talmage Store Pioneer Service Station and Forks Liquor Store. Suspects fled by car and on foot during arrest.
In Sacramento the Water Resources Board weighed recommended federal flood control funding after December floods. Proposals included boosting San Lorenzo Creek and Terminus Dam budgets while cutting $2.25 million from the Russian River Coyote Dam project due to legal delays.
Washington reports a 13 year interstate road plan costing about 51 billion dollars with 360 billion dollars funded by federal government and state contributions. The program aims to speed road building, create payrolls, and curb recession and unemployment with 40 000 miles of highway and new taxes to fund it. Presidents and Congress resolved bond disputes and will push taxes in an election year.
