Prepare six slices of bacon until just crisp and hot. Drain. Slice cheddar into half inch squares. Wrap each cheese piece with bacon and top with an olive. Secure with a toothpick and broil three to four inches from heat for three to five minutes until crisp. Drain and serve. Makes twelve hors d oeuvres.
Christmas red in wedding of Susan Lewis and Rene Thornhill
Susan Lewis and Rene Charles Thornhill were married December 7 at First Baptist church in a 3 o clock ceremony led by Rev. Richard Taylor. The bride wore a long bouffant gown with lace sleeves and carried white carnations and red roses. attendants wore red velvet. The reception followed at the fairgrounds Home Arts building with red and white decor and a four-tier cake. The couple planned a trip to Benbow Inn and then a move to Mildenhall Air Force Base in England, with the bride joining him after three months.
