Tax cut proposal would aid low and middle incomes
The Joint Economic Committee urged a 10 to 12 billion dollar tax cut to boost spending power for a family of four earning ten thousand dollars a year and eliminate income taxes for families under 6773. The plan, aiming to lift buying power to 1973 levels, predicts 1975 unemployment around 7.5 percent and possible stagnation before recovery, with a tax credit option of 225 per dependent.
