Trinity County district attorney seriously hurt in crash
SACRAMENTO Bill Neill district attorney for Trinity County was in a head-on collision on the Woodland Sacramento freeway. He was taken to Sacramento Medical Center with a collapsed lung a broken left arm leg and seven broken ribs and is listed in fair condition. Neill previously served as chief criminal deputy in Mendocino County from 1969 to 1972 before moving to Trinity County. Investigating officers report a westbound car crossed the dividing line causing the crash while Neill was eastbound toward Sacramento.
