Yokayo Staff Holds Annual Christmas Party

Yokayo school hosted its annual Christmas party on a Saturday evening with a Spanish-Mexican theme. Thirty-one attendees enjoyed enchiladas fried beans and other dishes as teachers staged a program including baby-photo recognition. Beds Growing Bigger Reflecting Taller Sleepers

Furniture Talk notes mattress makers show bigger beds as people grow taller and wiser about sleep needs. Standard beds are 54 by 74 inches, with queens near 60 by 80 and kings up to 78 by 84. A bed should be at least 10 inches longer than the sleeper, and wider beds offer lasting comfort in a typical bedroom.

Weekend holiday event at the Ukiah Branch American University home opens Sunday from 4 30 to 6 30 p m at 295 N Spring Street for members and guests. Mrs Myrtle Heise owner of Ukiah General Hospital returned home after a trip to Columbus Ohio amid several snowstorms. She visited her daughter Mrs Lewis Feesler and met a new granddaughter Molly seven months old. The family also includes Martha four. The Okiahan went to Ohio in time for Thanksgiving with the Feeslers.

Marriage Of Ukiah Pair Told Today By Parents

The marriage of Susan Holzhauser to John Tanning is announced by Mr and Mrs Jeremy Holzhauser. They wed Dec 12 in Reno with Justice Wil liam Beemer officiating. The couple will live at 110 Knob Hill. Susan, a Ukiah High School graduate, worked in her father’s business. John, a Redwood Valley teacher, earned a BA in 1961 and played active school roles before Humboldt State College. An informal dinner followed at El N Lou’s.

Christmas Veterans Dining Dinner by three veterans groups

A Christmas buffet dinner will be hosted by American Legion Post 76 and VFW Post 1900 with Veterans of World War I Barracks 1000.
