Ukiah Police Report Shows 250 Crimes In November
November in Ukiah saw 250 crimes reported by Chief George Smith with 130 arrests. The month included burglaries five, petty thefts five, assaults and battery, forgery seven, drunkenness seven, destruction of property four, prowlers ten, car thefts three, car tampering fifteen, and 26 juvenile offenses. Police logged 411 calls and found personal property stolen totaling 2569.35 dollars, with 2259.41 dollars lost overall and 33.25 dollars from dog licenses and pound fees. Constellation Crashes at Johnsville Landing
A four engined Super Constellation carrying 26 aboard crashed and burned during landing at the Naval Air Development Station field in Johnsville.
