Ridiculously Resilient Ridge Keeps California Dry
Weather watchers call the high pressure ridge above the northeastern Pacific the Ridiculously Resilient Ridge or Triple A. It sits for at least a week and a half, bringing warmer than normal, dry conditions to California and the Bay Area with light rain chances only near the North Bay. The pattern, driven by jet stream dynamics, is not expected to cause a season-long drought.
