Two people suffered minor injuries in a three car chain collision Sunday at 5 50 p m just south of Hopland on Highway 101 California Highway Patrol reports that a Fort Bragg driver 20 named Carol Saabi halted to turn onto Mountain House Road A second car driven by 22 year old Terry Casteel of Santa Rosa halted and an unknown car passed the two vehicles A third car driven by 21 year old Laura Daugherty of Hopland struck the Casteel vehicle sending it into the Saab car Injured but treated by their own physicians were Cherri Casteel and Virginia Saari both passengers
Anthony De Angelis 58 of Fort Bragg died at Mendocino District Hospital Fort Bragg at 355 AM. Next of kin is wife Mary De Angelis. Funeral services pending at Cain Grove and Haverfield Mortuary Fort Bragg.
An off duty security guard, Ralph D. Booker, 31, admitted shooting Diane Good, 21, in his apartment while trying to frighten her during a hiccup attack. A witness said Booker pulled a .38 pistol to scare Miss Goad and the weapon discharged.
