Brooktrails private park set as nation first conservation project
Senator George Murphy lauds Mendocino County Brooktrails development as a pioneering private conservation recreation park. The project spans 4 square miles with redwood forest, lakes, trails, and camping sites, pledging perpetual conservation to the Resort Improvement District and creating homesites on 2000 acres. Developer argues it blends land development with conservation, boosting tax revenue and jobs without burdening taxpayers.
