14000 Acres Blackened in California Wildfires
Across northern and central California more than 14000 acres burned by brush and timber as about 125 lightning strikes sparked fires. Firefighters from across the state battled blazes aided by C-130 National Guard planes. Mt Diablo State Park blaze near Clayton grew to 4750 acres and was 60 percent contained. Bombs Hit Manhattan Offices as Evacuations Ordered

Vance Proposes 100 Million for Lebanon Army Recovery
