Peter T Pinoli aged 70 of Navarre dies after five days in Ukiah hospital. Born in Italy July 30 1898 he was a rancher and pioneer in Anderson Valley living there 55 years. Funeral Saturday at 10 a.m. at Philo Catholic church with Eversole Mortuary in charge. Rosary at the mortuary 8 p.m. Friday. Pallbearers include Johnnie, Arthur, Raymond Pinoli, George Zeni Norris Pinoli and Abbondio Alietti. Survived by wife Theresa Pinoli of Navarre and brothers John and Charles Pinoli of Philo and Jack Pinoli and Innocentina Gobbi of Italy.

Burton R. Walker a 65 year old San Francisco man with a 30 year criminal record pleaded for clemency before Superior Judge Wayne Burke after admitting to stealing a car from Daniels Harlowe and entering a guilty plea. Walker described loss of home family and job due to alcohol and said he had no use for the stolen vehicle in Ukiah. He was sentenced to six months in the county jail.
Gary Lee Griffith age 18 of San Jose AWOL from the Army and a confessed burglar was sentenced to 30 days in county jail less time already served after appearing before Judge Wayne Burke on Thursday. Timothy Warrington also 18 from San Jose was convicted as Griffith's confederate in the burglary of a house belonging to Manuel Gonzales of Ukiah and received a 90 day jail term.
