West Valley Needs Homers for Regional Colt League Playoffs

West Valley seeks host families for the regional Colt League baseball playoffs starting Wednesday through Saturday at Anton Stadium in Provo. Families willing to house players from Little League Pony and Colt Leagues should contact Sam Ray Jr or Fire Chief Al Bechtel at 462-5860 or 462-2437-462-3936, or Mrs Martha Cooper at 462-4853. Players will join the Provo Colt League All-Star squad, Utah Nevada champions, and West Valley San Jose, which recovered from an opening loss to Santa Clara to win the Central Valley title 8-4 and advance to Ukiah. The Redwood Empire All-Stars from Sebastopol, Santa Rosa, North Napa Valley and Fortsville will also stay at a motel. Ukiah hosts the event with its Colt All-Stars as the local squad.
