Redwood Empire Football Clinic Held Saturday

A day-long Redwood Empire Football Clinic unfolds Saturday with a lineup of coaches and educators. Marichal Wins as Giants Snap Reds Streak

Hargan Emerges as Tribe Pitching Ace in 1966 Rise

Steve Hargan transformed from bullpen depth to frontline starter, finishing 1966 13-1 with a 2.48 ERA after stepping in for Sam McDowell. He twirled two straight shutouts this week, beating the Twins 1-0 and lifting Cleveland from a skid. He credited Early Wynn for refining his delivery and praised Tebbetts' faith in him. Hargan, a Fort Wayne native, also notched a 0.00 ERA over 207 innings. The Indians’ other scores from the day included Orioles, Tigers, Yankees, and Red Sox victories across the league.

New NFL Schedule Aims For Fair Play In 1967-68

Snowball in One Delays Boston Golf Championship

UPI reports that the Greater Boston Intercollegiate Golf Championships at Concord Mass were postponed to next Monday due to snow. Northeastern's Pete Baronowsky stood eight feet from the sixth hole during a wet snowfall, tapped the ball, and caused the postponement as the ball gathered snow and would not fit in the hole.
