Two Truck Drivers Die In 101 Head-On Collision
Two men, Arthur Lee Cramer Jr of Ukiah and Ernest Plotnik of San Francisco, were killed when a San Francisco produce truck collided head-on with a Landis Morgan Transportation three-axle truck on Highway 101 near Laytonville. The crash closed the highway for hours as deputies and patrolmen investigated. autopsies were ordered and funeral plans pending. The victims included a veteran long-distance driver and a Crescent City to San Francisco route operator.
