Reservists to be Recognized by Board at Courthouse
Supervisors will pause for lunch tomorrow to honor the newly formed reserve deputy program on the State Street courthouse lawn. Sheriff Reno Bartolomie unveils a green and white van funded by the California Council of Criminal Justice, assigned to the reservists. Ukiah residents endured a 14 hour blackout with power restoration aided by a mobile unit from San Jose and a Fresno backup. Santa Rosa youth injured when cycle flips on hillside run
David Groninger 16 of Santa Rosa sustained head facial and arm injuries after his motorcycle flipped on a downhill private property run north of Mill Creek Road two miles east of River Road. Lakeport Woman Shot During Family Argument
Lakeport sheriff deputies planned further questioning of Orville H. Brandow after he allegedly shot his wife Ellen Brandow in a private dispute. Ellen Brandow, 43, is hospitalized in fair condition at Lakeside Community Hospital in Lakeport with a stomach wound from a .25 caliber pistol. Orville Brandow, 60, of Lucerne, is jailed and being held for questioning, arrested at his home Friday.
