All-Star Wrestling Outdoor Show Planned for June

Promoter Matt Zidich and Matchmaker John Swenski plan a giant outdoor All-Star wrestling card at the Fair Grounds arena around June 30 following a successful 1961-62 Ukiah VFW indoor season. Athletes Rewrite AV Relay Marks at Anderson Valley Relays

Ukiah varsity took sixth and B team third at Boonville as Santa Rosa edged Montgomery for varsity title by 347 points and lost B by nearly 30. Church Softball League Plans in Ukiah

Church groups plan to organize an eight team softball league in Ukiah. Meetings set at the Municipal clubhouse at 7 30 tonight to outline two games nightly two evenings per week. City Recreation Director Dave Strong asks each group bring a manager or representative to attend.

Ukiah golf pro in Howe announces an Easter vacation tournament for juniors 18 and under at Ukiah Municipal Golf Course. Play runs Thursday and Friday with 18 holes for ages 12 plus and 9 holes for 11 and under, medal scoring using Callaway handicaps. Entry covers both days with a $30 tee time. Ukiah Jayvees Lose to Santa Rosa in Lopsided Baseball Clash

Ukiah Jayvees fell 9-4 at Santa Rosa as the Panthers exploded for two runs in the first inning six in the second and one in the third before Dana McDonald shut them down.
