Trackmen Fail to Top Vallejo Apaches in Relays Meet Preview
Ukiah Varsity and B track teams lost to the Vallejo Apaches in both divisions yesterday and now prepare for the Anderson Valley relays at 1 p.m. Saturday in Boonville. Coach Lou Levitt promises trophies and ribbons for top five finishers, plus team prizes for first and second in each division. Wayne Thornton led Ukiah with a 115.7 high hurdles and 20.9 second in the 220 low hurdles, while Ron Bawden won the shot put 43 feet 5 inches. other Ukiah scorers included Locatelli, Peterson, Shupe, Gleason, Goodwin and Portlock in various events.
