Family and Friends Honor Couple on Anniversary

Potter Valley couple Clyde Foster and wife celebrated their golden wedding April 2 at the Potter Valley Grange hall. Nearly 200 guests attended a buffet dinner prepared by friends and relatives from numerous towns. A display of 50 years of photos drew interest as relatives traveled from Covelo Fortuna Santa Rosa Ukiah and beyond to join in the celebration.

Babe Arrives In Lynch Family

Steven Robert Lynch arrived at Hillside hospital on Saturday weighing 8 pounds 8 ounces. He is the first child of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Lynch of Hillview Avenue and the first grandchild for Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Peters and Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Lynch, with the Bartolomei family as great grandparents.

Hofman Couple Move to New San Mateo Home

Mr and Mrs Charles Hofman have relocated from Belmont to 4004 Beresford Street San Mateo. Mrs Hofman’s mother Mrs Nannette Hofman visited them shortly before the move. He was born and educated in the area.

Chicagoans join informal parties with Cottons visit

The W. A. Cottons, now of Chicago, visited their former city and attended several informal gatherings. After a Sunday Presbyterian dedication they dined with Roy Wagner and guests included W. H. Smiths and Al Thrashers. Mrs. Cotton later joined a luncheon at Mrs. Smith's home and attended a Ukiah Women's golf club gathering at the municipal clubhouse hosted by Mrs. Al Gobalet.

Club Votes For Fiesta Concession

Soroptimist club of Ukiah votes to operate a Fiesta booth May 19 20 21 as a community service supporting the Ukiah Fiesta. President Delila Yttreness led the Monday luncheon at House of Garner with Ways and Means chair Dorothy Cagle reporting on a successful April rummage sale. The April 17 meeting will feature Decorama Inc presented by Joyce Hart with club proceeds shared. Members urged to bring guests. Viola Richardson won the mystery prize.

New State Named by PTGS at St Marys meeting

A St Marys Parent Teacher Group meeting in the school auditorium submitted a roster of new officers led by president Mrs Rodney Zimm erman and vice president Tom Martin.
