Wright Wins playoff at Baton Rouge Invitational

Mickey Wright defeats Jo Ann Prentice in sudden-death playoff to win the $8,500 Baton Rouge Invitational in Baton Rouge Louisiana. Fravel Wins Two Events in Ukiah Meet

Ukiah trackmen finished third in a transferred Santa Rosa meet on Saturday. Jeff Fravel of Ukiah ran 440 yards in 51.2 seconds, a season best and Ukiah high school record, also winning the 220 in 22.6 and posting a 51.9 quarter. Willits’ Jan Buch clocked 1 58 in the half mile as Montgomery led varsity scoring with Santa Rosa, Ukiah, and Willits close behind. in B division Santa Rosa led with Ukiah second while in C division Ukiah placed third.
