Tryouts Set for North and Little League in Uriah

Tryouts for North League players 12 and under will occur on three consecutive Saturdays, starting April 12, at Anton Stadium. Eleven year olds will try out at Giorno Park, with younger players at Frank Zeek School. Attendees must miss no more than two sessions to be eligible. eight year olds and late registrants may join Coast League tryouts April 21 at Zeek School.

Globetrotters Top College All Stars In Toledo Show

Andy Johnson scored 29 points as the Harlem Globetrotters defeated the College All-Stars 76 to 69 in Toledo. Vern Hatton led the All-Stars with 17 points as the Reds trailed 42 to 40 at halftime. In Prague, Radio reported Czechoslovakia’s Communist regime ordered a 20 percent price increase for spirits and liquors and a 10 percent cut for milk.
