Sixtieth Anniversary Celebration for Christian Seeger
Owing to a prior engagement we missed the sixtieth birthday dinner for Christian Seeger at his North Main Street home Saturday evening. A large gathering enjoyed the event, with many gifts for the honored host. Rev. I. Beiswenger gave an address, Seeger responded, and Miss Lizzie Reinhart and Minnie Seeger sang a duet followed by lunch and general good will. Narrow Escape From Lumber Wagon Near Building
William Herzog narrowly escaped serious injury Monday while hauling lumber for D. R. White at the paper mill. His team bolted toward a moving car, he jumped aboard as the wagon lurched, his feet tangled, and he dangled near a brick corner six inches from impact. Witnesses hailed his bravery and the hazard to the property in his charge. A shoe sale note from Atlee's shoe store in Tyrone Pa. appears in the same column.

Fireman Killed Leaning From Cab In Pennsylvania Rail Crash
George M. Nicely a fireman on the New York and Chicago Limited was instantly killed yesterday morning when his head struck a mail post near Lilly station on the western division of the P R R. He was leaning out of the cab window to view the injector. His body was taken to Altoona for burial preparation. Nicely’s home was in Ligonier. He leaves a young wife whom he married on the seventh of the month in Mollidaysburg. She was visiting in Indiana Pa at the time of the wreck. His parents and several brothers survive.
