His La patite femme Mrs Gilbert arranged a surprise reception for sixty from his bible class at the parsonage and J W Howe presented a bicycle from C H Clarks agency. The gathering included a fine lunch prepared by Mrs Gilbert and church ladies.

HERCULANIUM to Rise as Atlantic City Spectacle
Tyrone Forties in Tyrone with W F Wise and H J Martin announce a major contract with Atlantic City Amusement to produce Herculaneum a pyrotechnic spectacle of unprecedented scale. The show opens in Philadelphia June 16 for a month then returns to Atlantic City after a ten day interval for another month. Wise Martin will manage all production including a fireworks plant on land near Tyrone and a dedicated studio for scenery and staging. A skilled pyrotechnist will oversee that branch as preparations begin at the scene studio.

Cornell met in special session at the public building Monday evening to transact business. Present were Glugrich, Owens, Love, Morris, Wa ple, Beyer, Hildebrand, Berlin and Moore. Taxes due on borough duplicates were pursued by C. W. Dougherty to collect 1892 dues. Notices were sent to property owners to lay new pavements or repair. East Tyrone Water Co. to fix pipes on Fifteenth and Sixteenth streets. A stone crossing at Fifteenth and Lincoln was rejected, gravel crossing planned at Fifteenth and Hamilton. Council adjourned.
