Mother Daughter Banquet and Local Social Events
The Girl Reserves eighth graders hosted a Mother-Daughter Banquet at the Presbyterian church with songs, toasts led by Marjorie Woods, and readings. Gamma Phi Beta hosted a luncheon for mothers at the Roberts home with needlework and piano solos. Zu Zim club held a stag party at Weldon Jenkins’s home with blue and white decor for Twin Falls High football. A State Music Teachers Silver Tea was planned at Mrs. A. Guibert’s home to support the local convention fund. Mr and Mrs George Willis hosted a Thanksgiving dinner for guests including Miss Jessie McVey. Leila Liver’s Sunday school class held a party on Elizabeth Boulevard with games. The Lend-a-Hand club gathered at Mrs FDR Darling’s to collect for the Children’s Home and plan a Christmas program. next meeting December 11 with Mrs McCleary.
