Reports say an unnamed world famous explorer and five companions were stranded since May 26 north of Northeast Land. Seaplanes sighted the group near a red tent and dropped food but no land tie was made.
Charles D. Thomas former exalted ruler of Twin Falls Elks was elected second vice president of the Idaho State Elks association at the closing session Tuesday. Other officers chosen include Boise’s D. G. Jack as president Blackfoot’s Prink Garvin as first vice president Wallace’s MC Dotineld as fourth vice president and Pocatello’s Harry J. Fox as secretary-treasurer. The 1920 convention will be held in Wallace following yesterday’s selection.
Neighbors of Woodcraft Jerome organization members held a fully arranged party Tuesday evening in the Business and Professional Women's club rooms with 60 attendees. The rooms were decorated with roses peonies and snapdragons. The program included a reading by Mary Dilon Jarvis a piano solo by Hugh Maguire a vocal by Dorothea Mae Grees and two solos by Mrs H H Maguire. Guests included Mr and Mrs John Shaw Mr and Mrs Arthur Richardson and many others arriving to enjoy a four course supper organized by Mrs Harold Daly committee chair.
Miss Beatrice Brown of Buhl and Laried W Jenkins of Twin Falls married last Tuesday evening at the Moscow parsonage with Rev. Hine officiating. They left for Honolulu on a extended honeymoon, sailing from San Francisco. Jenkins is a Twin Falls native and a University of Idaho student.
