Snake River Camp Opens With 27 Scouts at Center Camp
The third annual Snake River Council Boy Scouts of America camp began Monday July 6 at Center Camp, with 27 scouts and leaders from Buhl Twin Falls and Castleford. Eagle Scout Fred Varney of Troop 7 Twin Falls is camp chef. Activities include hikes to Porcupine Springs Monument Peak and Cottonwood Creek, kabob dinner and special stunts, plus ongoing camp routine and new junior officers Howard Husted Don Grayot Jay Kendrick Arno Kerpa Erwin Tomlinson. Additional troops from Twin Falls Jerome and Hansen are expected next week, with full attendance anticipated for the remaining three weeks.
