Frank Laurance leaves Cosgriff Sign after three years to join Lee M. Logan and form a new partnership. The Acme Sign company, previously the Lee M. Logan firm, will operate under this joint venture with Logan and Laurance sharing ownership and duties.
Miss Betty Austin and Miss Mather Stowell were honored at a Christmas motif bridge luncheon hosted by Miss Alice Lor at 227 Eighth Avenue East.Guests included Miss Pegsy Wall Miss Isabelle Clark Miss Patricia Wilson and several others. A second compliment was planned at Mrs Merlin Batley's and Miss Patricia Wilson’s bridge event scheduled for Friday.
Installation of Mrs. Frank Baldwin as worthy matron and other officers of Twin Falls chapter Order at the Eastern Star was held at the Masonic temple Tuesday evening. retiring matron Mrs. J A Keefer served as installing officer with Miss Jean Dinkelacker as installing marshal. Refreshments followed as families and Masons were invited to attend.
The Twentieth Century club drama and literature department met at Mrs H S Maguire’s home on Fourth Avenue North Wednesday afternoon. Mrs E T Wells shared current events, Mrs B H Atkinson reviewed The Philosophers Stone by Larsen with a plot sketch, followed by a general dept discussion. Christmas exchange was a delightful social feature with refreshments served by Mrs Maguire and Mrs Charles A Wing, and the venue was festively decorated.
Lean Grieve hosted a birthday skating party Tuesday afternoon at his home east of Twin Falls on Kimberly Road. A 4:30 lunch was served, with a decorated cake bearing 13 candles at the center, the table trimmed with Christmas greens and holly and lit by red tapers. Mrs. Grieve was assisted by Miss Alice Littler. Guests included Floyd Grieve Hershall Littler Merlin Severin Meredith Dickerson Bernard Dickerson Donald Hanlon Don ald Ryan Rialto Kimes and Laddle Stantey.
Miss Ruth Herrick and J Williams, both of Twin Falls, were married in Pocatello on Tuesday afternoon at 1130. The bride’s mother Mrs J E Herrick traveled home to Montana. The couple will reside in Twin Falls where Williams works for Lindholm Reed and the Advance Rumicy company. Williams’ wife is associated with Sampson Music company in Twin Falls.
Tri C dance tonight at Justamere Inn features members of Pri C Bridge Club and alumni home for holidays. Benoit's orchestra to furnish music. inn gaily decorated in gold and green for the occasion.
A social skating party was held at Poplar Gardner 2 at their home. Mr Witham and Mrs Row entertained friends with cards and light refreshments in a casual gathering during the evening.

District Attorney Keyes prepares for Chickman’s prosecution in the Marion Parker murder case. He says death is likely if Hickman pleads guilty or is found guilty, while defense plans await Kansas City lawyer Jerome J. Walsh to arrive. Hickman on the train said he would plead guilty after meeting Parker’s father. Judge Carlos Hardy would decide death or life if a guilty plea is entered.
