Mrs. O R Brannon of Buhl has opened a beauty shop at 647 Ash Street in Twin Falls. Marcelling is priced at 50 cents and the business can be reached by phone at 736J Ady.
Charles A Lindbergh, known as Lindy, yesterday flew toward Mexico City showing his fans and critics that he can act rather than wait. He landed safely, noted the muddy field, and gave a nod to Mexican President Calles, while army observers failed to keep pace. The Times backed his bold move, and cheers rose as editors prepared banner headlines.
Edited by Miss Jeann Dinkelacker the M. S. and 8. club held its annual Christmas gift exchange and party Wednesday afternoon at Mrs. W. S. Parish's home on Sho n honevalreet east. Members heard reminiscences of Pleasant Christmas experiences, heard papers on Christmas Customs, and enjoyed a piano selection by A. Victor. Community singing of Christmas carols closed the afternoon with refreshments served by W. S. Pays etc firms.
Mrs A Brizee delightedly entertained the Hi Lo Bridge club Tuesday afternoon at her North Main street home. Members included Mrs Richard A Heynolds and guests Mrs Henry Champlin Jow Mrs Champlin Mrs P R Thompson and Mrs T J Foster. After games a two course luncheon was served.
Ye Olde Tymers Dancing Club hosted a regular dance session at Danceland on Tuesday evening drawing members for a social event.
The Twentieth Century Club’s Dramha Department hosts a noon session at Mrs B L Price's home on Ninth Avenue North. Mrs H C Schurger presents a delineation of Women of Shakespeare focusing on Portia Rosalind Miranda Desdemona and Lady Macbeth with character analysis.
The Order of the Eastern Star elected officers for the ensuing year Tuesday evening at the Masonic temple. Mrs. Winifred Baldwin named worthy matron succeeding Mrs. Eleanor Keefer. Burton Smith re-elected worthy patron. Other officers include Mrs. Emma Jones associate mitra, Mrs. Anna Johnston secretary, Mrs. Maoty treasurer, and conductress and associate conductress. Installation will be held Tuesday in the chaplis room. The event invites Eastern Stars, their husbands and families, and all Masons. Florence Dow announced a Christmas party and gift exchange by the Star Social Club for Monday afternoon at Mrs. Frank Baldwin’s home.
Five boys aged nine to fifteen appeared before Probate Judge A Bailey on delinquencies. They were committed to the industrial school and then paroled to report weekly to the probation officer. Four were charged with breaking into establishments and one with taking bicycles.
