Salt Lake Firm Low Bid in Twin Falls Rock Plant Contract
Lynch Cannon Machinery of Los Angeles won the bid for furnishing and installing a rock crushing plant for the Twin Falls highway district. The cost plus seven percent profit bid totaled about 126000 dollars with an estimated 9375 dollar maximum profit. A Salt Lake firm, Collins & Webb, submitted a lower bid but was deemed less reliable than the winner. The project includes quarry site purchase, a 36 by 48 inch jaw crusher, gyratory crusher, motors, conveyors, and associated equipment. Installment is expected in 90 to 120 days, with rock production starting before road work.
