Highway Board Chooses Test Road Plan On Surfacing
A public meeting of highway district officials and citizens in Ink Chamber of Commerce rooms decided to build a three mile test road directly south of the crushing plant on force account. If costs exceed estimates the district may contract for the rest. The group favored more miles of surface with bituminous macadam over fewer miles with bitulithic pavement. The decision to build the test road sets the path for surfacing expansion depending on cost.
