Escape attempt by bank robber on Pullman car
Associated Press reports a Los Angeles bank robber, E. Hudson, made a futile bid for liberty while being transported toward Folsom Prison. In a Tulare City area Pullman compartment he fought Deputy Sheriff Frank Cochran after Hudson was allowed water. The struggle ended with Cochran choking Hudson into submission and resuming restraints as other suspects, Arthur and Herbert Brown, ride in the same car for robbery of a Los Angeles Hellmrin bank.
