Supreme court affirms canal stockholder voting dispute
The supreme court affirmed the district court ruling in Twin Falls county cases Crom et al versus John Frahm and Warner et al versus John Frank. The issues centered on stockholder attempts at amending articles and by laws at a special meeting on October 9, 1917. Directors favored limiting amendments to proposal only, while a majority at the meeting sought enactment. Subsequent December actions reduced directors from five to three, prompting lawsuits and a perpetual injunction retaining the old five-member board.
