Proclamation appoints WWII National Registration periods

By His Excellency Vice Admiral Sir Humphrey Walwyn the Governor assigns registration periods under Defence Regulations 1942. The first period runs 2 November to 15 December 1942 excluding Sundays for most districts, with specified exclusions, and a second period runs 16 November to 31 December 1942 excluding Sundays for others.

The authorities were handed the names of scholars not attending school regularly. While minor offences faced lenient handling, deliberate non attendance will be acted on under the act. teachers are instructed to forward names to the proper authorities.
