Pigs Supplied by Department of Natural Resources

The Department of Natural Resources will provide pigs to applicants this spring on a cash basis. Pigs are at least six weeks old from selected stock and delivered to the nearest railway station or port for 5.75 dollars each, or 56 dollars per crate of ten, with crates of ten encouraged to save shipping costs. The secretary notes shipping instructions and contributions are welcome.

Shipping News Update from Ashbournes and Nearby

Avax departed Monday for the Bay to carry seals to Ashbournes Ltd. Ping Pong carried seals from Change Islands on Wednesday. National IV of National Fish Co Halifax visited en route to Labrador to collect salmon. James Strong arrived from St Johns on Tuesday en route to Little Bay Islands. The Prospero on its first St Johns Cook’s Hr Service trip arrived yesterday. Aux Grace Boehner came from St John’s Wednesday with freight for Hodge Brothers. Major Dorothy travelled to Lecia porte Monday and brought Dr and Mrs Hardy to the hospital Wednesday.
