Men of S S Silver City Charged at Marine Court
At the Marine Court of Enquiry Edward Vardy Alexander This le William Butt and Fred Chaytor faced charges for feloniously killing five crew members during a voyage about four miles off Torbay on June 9th 10th 1934. They were not asked to plead and were granted bail with sums of 5000 for the captain and 2000 for each officer, sureties provided by W A Munn and Arch Munn.
