The Food Current Prices Order under the Emergency Powers Act sets price limits on specified foods as of December 22 1943. It defines current price, restricts sales above current price, excludes meals by caterers, forbids fictitious or excessive charges, and notes offences under the Defence Regulations. The amendment removes Tinned Meats from the 1942 Schedule.
Schedule listing imported beef items including salted beef, pork including heads and tongues, canned meats hermetically sealed, prepared corned beef and hash, roast beef and mutton, boiled mutton and brawn and similar.
The WPA announces a postponed meeting will be held on Thursday January 28 at the usual time. Secretary urges attendance and notes no change in venue.
