A social evening at St. Andrew's Hall on January 22 offers tea for 25 cents, candy, handkerchiefs, and aprons for sale. Doors open at 6 o'clock. attendees are invited to come and enjoy themselves.

Mr John Clarke returned home from Millertown last Saturday. Mr David White came home from St Johns the same day, traveling from Lewisporte aboard the I'm Alone. Mr Frederick Pond arrived Wednesday night from Halifax via Lewisporte, and A Sansome's motor boat ferried him to Summerford during his journey.
Seals and bedlamers gather in the Bay in unprecedented numbers not seen in years. Nets increase past forty year levels as Thursday's slot ice and frigid 4 to 6 degree cold spell accompany steady landings. Harry Anstey and crew recover nets with several old harps and bedlamers on Thursday. Landed totals remain uncertain but some harvesters report good yields.
The play Mammy's lil wil Rose was repeated on Thursday night at the Arm Academy. Proceeds from the performance totaled over 30 dollars.
The Bessie Marie arrived at St John's on Sunday. The captain and crew expect to continue operations next week as ice conditions ease and the ship proceeds.

Confusion cleared as Miss Evangeline Gillett is identified as part of the play troupe, not Margaret Gillett as previously announced in the last issue. The correction clarifies which Gillett belongs to the troupe group.
