Mrs. Sarah Crosby Temple wife of William Temple died at her home in St. John's on Tuesday after a long illness. A daughter of Obediah and Elizabeth Manuel she lived here after marriage and later moved to St. John's where she served as organist at St. Peter's Church. Her remains were buried in Snellin's Cove beside her family after a service at the church she loved. She is survived by her husband a daughter Mrs. J. B Horwood of Arvida Quebec and three grandchildren.
Robert Boyde a well known resident of Tizzard's Harbour died suddenly at Bay Roberts on Sunday aged seventy eight. Survived by two sons Sidney Herring Neck and Alton Tizzard's Harbour and three daughters Mrs A Chaulk Tizzard's Harbour Mrs H Peach St John's and Mrs J King Bay Roberts. Interment at Tizzard's Harbour Thursday conducted by Rev A Sisith. The Marc onic Society he long served represented by Twillingate Lodge members.
Family expresses gratitude to all who helped during illness and death of wife and mother. Thanks to those who sent wreaths and mourning tokens, and to all who sent letters telegrams and expressions of sympathy.
Mr Alfred Lambert of South Side celebrated yesterday as the home reopened after a fire caused Friday disruption at Back Harbour. The building had been owned by Mrs William John Young before the incident and the crowd gathered to mark the return.
Members of St Peter's Lodge No 12 in Twillingate marked the seventy fifth anniversary with a day of services, a wreath laying, and a banquet. A delegation from Herring Neck attended along with visiting brethren and local leaders. The celebration included a sermon, tributes to past masters, and toasts in Alexandra Hall after a lunch catered by Albert Burton.

Survived by three sons Beri Bennet and Edward. three daughters Mrs Fred Smith Mrs Max Burt of Summerfort and Miss Phoebe at St Johns. Interment from the Salvation Army Citadel to Tuesday, Sr Capt G Kirle conducting the service.
