The Newfoundland Gazette published a 1940s public notice announcing a bill titled An Act to Provide for Limitation in the Keeping of Dogs. It would grant authority to restrict dog numbers in areas beyond Avalon and Borin Peninsulas to protect farming interests, with comments due by January 2, 1941 to Claude Fraser, Secretary for Natural Resources.
