The Department of Defence paused RAF Aircraft Crew recruiting due to training bottlenecks in the UK and Canada. It now reports that as many wireless operators air gunners and straight air gunners as are available by the end of September can be forwarded.

Public notice under Emergency Powers Act and Defence Prices Regulations lays out the price for white sugar sold at the port following Regulation 2. The order, issued by the Commissioner for Public Health and Welfare, invokes 1940 1942 acts and regulations to set controlled pricing.
