Mrs. Ira Grant of Springdale died at N D B M Hospital on Tuesday. Remains were taken to Springdale by Major Bost on Wednesday for interment there. Early reports say the county has its best bakeable crop in years, credited to fine weather and lack of thunderstorms this season.
A local catalog lists items for sale including asphalt roofing pitch battleship asbestos roofing flinthote roofing and black jack felt. It also mentions Dux-Bak Nox-All Brantford roofing No 1 and No 2 palings and chicken wire.
The annual meeting will be held at the hospital on Thursday August 21 at 8 p.m. Secretary M. G. Loveridge reports business and medical reports will be presented.
The Commissioner for Supply revokes the Food (Current Prices) Order No 74 1946 fixing a maximum retail price of 5 34 cents per pound for potatoes. An orderly review will continue. The Price of Goods (Maximam Price Computation) Order No 1 1944 remains in effect with maximum wholesale and retail mark ups of 12 34% and 25% respectively. Acting Secretary M J Ryan signs the notice.

The 1946 Food Current Prices Order No. 74 dated January 17 1946 is revoked. It states revocation does not absolve penalties for prior breaches. The order takes effect August 9 1947.
