Foothill athletes face surgeries ahead of senior year
Foothill High seniors Elle Cruikshank and Jason Himber faced major health crises that derailed summer plans. Elle tore knee ligaments in a soccer mishap, underwent arthroscopic surgery, and faces months of rehab before a possible return. Jason discovered a walnut sized brain tumor causing hearing loss and underwent a seven hour operation, with a cautious road to recovery. Both balance sports with strong academics and leadership roles while aiming to return before graduation.
