Sharing the Vision North Tustin Makes a Difference for Blind Child
Jai mie Haver faced her son Jack’s extreme prematurity and retinal detachment that left him blind after 108 days at UC Irvine Medical Center. At age three he lagged in speech and feeding. Regional Center placed her at portable classrooms near Peace Lutheran Church. She says Blind Children’s Learning Center became a secret Orange County treasure, and now 12 years later she works to expand opportunities for other children while her son, now 15, gains independence at Foothill.
