Gas leak prompts evacuation of 30 homes in Tustin
About 30 homes and nearby WR Nelson Elementary were evacuated in Tustin after a construction rupture of a gas line. The Southern California Gas Co shut off gas about 12:25 p.m. two hours after the rupture. Walnut Avenue was closed within 2 000 feet as a precaution. AlertOC sent warnings and officers checked residents. The evacuation was lifted two hours later.
