Hangars Frame Futures as Veterans Benefit from Build Day
World War II blimp hangar hosts Habitat for Humanity of Orange County and Home Depot for a four hour framing session. About 250 volunteers build six home frames with one destined for a retired service member, five for families in Santa Ana. Jose Hernandez, 36, an Army National Guard veteran, supports his wife and three kids with a civilian job at an Irvine law firm handling foreclosures. The event aids affordable housing while Hernandez receives a future home frame for his family.
