Santa Ana River Trail recognized as National Recreation Trail
The federal government designated the Santa Ana River Trail from Huntington Beach to Yorba Linda as a National Recreation Trail. Dan Meier and volunteers rode from Redlands to Yorba Regional Park for a ceremony in Anaheim Hills, marking the 29 mile trail that could become a 110 mile route to the ocean. OC Parks and the Orange County Flood Control District outline a $15 million finish for the remaining segment to connect Yorba Regional Park with Green River Golf Course.
