Chili cookoff funds five local nonprofits in city block event
More than 50 chili varieties and a dozen salsas will be offered for tasting with judging. First prize in the International Chili Society contest nets 1000 dollars and a regional shot, while the people's choice awards pay 500, 250 and 100 dollars. Pancake breakfast fundraiser hosted by Knights of Pythias on Sunday
The Knights of Pythias will host a pancake breakfast 7 to 10 am Sunday on Main Street and El Camino Real. Tickets are five dollars with proceeds aiding local youths’ summer camp and a day of entertainment by Willie Nelson tribute True Willie and Queen Nation among others. A Kids Zone, free health screenings, teen safety demos, and animal booths accompany the event, with proceeds split between Tustin High School Football Booster Club and Foothill High School Instrumental Music Guild. volunteers fund most costs.
